Applying for Licenses and Endorsements

About Applying for Licenses and Endorsements

Upon completion of all of your course requirements, the posting of your degree (if applicable) and earning passing scores on the appropriate licensure/endorsement examinations (if needed), all candidates must apply for their license through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) application portal. First-time users of the ODE application portal must set up an OH|ID account and request a state ID.

The Ohio Department of Education CORE User Manual provides step-by-step instructions for applying for a teaching credential through the ODE application portal.

Wright State University will recommend a student for an Ohio educator license or endorsement to an Ohio educator license if the student successfully completes all licensure or endorsement standards and requirements for the desired credential and completes and submits his/her application for the credential to ODE within 12 months of program completion.
