About the Deans Scholars Award

The Deans Scholars Award will be presented annually to 5 first-year College of Health, Education, and Human Services students and includes a renewable merit scholarship valued at half tuition.

Additional benefits include: Round badge with words Wright State University Deans Scholars and the image of a book.

  • Guidance from a faculty mentor
  • Opportunities for unique learning experiences outside of the classroom
  • Exclusive access to events with university administration

Scholarships awarded through the Presidential and Deans Scholars programs are renewable and can be awarded for a total of eight semesters. They may be funded in part or in whole through other university scholarships, including the Green and Gold Scholarship, or other institutional aid. Combined institutional aid cannot exceed the cost of tuition. Room, board, and books are not included.

Academically-accomplished students who apply as first-time students for the following year Fall admission by December 1, will be considered for the Deans Scholars program. Each of the undergraduate colleges will select five students to serve as Deans Scholars; in total, 25 students will be selected for the Deans Scholars program each Fall.
